Marcus D. Wiley's Bio
Marcus D. Wiley is a comedian, a college professor at Texas Southern University, and co-host of the Yolanda Adams Morning Show. He is best known for his hilarious impressions of Bishop Secular, who is his alter ego on the Yolanda Adams Morning Show.
He is a stand up comedian who has toured around the nation performing ‘Clean Edgy Comedy.’ Born in Houston, Texas, the son of a pastor, Wiley attended high school at Willowridge High School in Missouri City, Texas. Marcus Wiley is also known as a trend-setter for bringing clean stand up comedy to the masses.
Wiley began his stand-up comedy career in September 2002. His clean comedy approach caught the attention of four-time Grammy Award winner, Yolanda Adams and she offered him a spot as her co-host on her highly acclaimed radio show, ‘The Yolanda Adams Morning Show’.
Wiley received major recognition during his stand up comedy tours for performing much of his routine from his popular DVD series including: “Pretty Women Never Get Married,” “The Devil Ain’t The Only One Busy”, “When The Church Met The Club,” “How To Live Holy When You’re Horny”, and “Comedy Is Sexy and Acting Married.”
Wiley most recently worked as a producer. As SVP and co-head of comedy development at Fox, he shepherded the development of such half-hour series as "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "New Girl," "The Mindy Project" and "Bob’s Burgers." In addition, he was very involved in bringing "Last Man On Earth" to the network. Marcus’ resume also includes stints as literary and packaging agent at the William Morris Agency and as a development executive at Regency Television where he worked on such series as "Malcolm In The Middle" and "The Bernie Mac Show."
Snapchat hired Wiley as Head of Program Planning and Development in an effort to create content geared towards their young audience.
