Mickey Housley is a native Houstonian. He started his standup career in Houston Tx, before establishing himself in Chicago, and then New York. When Mickey Housley performs, ears tend to perk up and eyes seem to focus. He has a way of captivating audiences with his charm and likeability. A fact that he has been proving since he won the Houston Knockout Competition after just three months of performing. Soon after, Mickey became one of the funniest comedians in Houston as he was the runner up in ‘The Funniest Person in Houston’ competition. A true powerhouse onscreen and
onstage, Mickey has consistently toured across the country’s most respected comedy clubs, colleges, and festivals, and has performed at the Showtime at The Apollo, New York and Boston Comedy Festival, NBC Diversity Finals Showcase, Comedy Time TV, and the Second City Breakout Festival, among countless others.
Mickey is a publish author, ‘Chronicles of a Stand-up Guy’ and created his own festival called The Mickeylodeon Festival, that ran successfully for 10 years. He was a writer for a late-night show on Fox TV (Later With Leon), and has written plenty of sketches, stories, and
jokes. Mickey’s passion to write has allotted him over four hours of material and his improvisational skills allows his following audience to enjoy a different show each night. Mickey’s seamless blend of animation and wit has been featured on some of the biggest stages in America.
